Join me on a hike along the East Sooke Coast Trail on Saturday, June 24 @ 10:30am – you can anticipate lots of fresh air, yoga posture & meditation practice, beautiful views, wonderful cardiovascular exercise, yummy food & great company!! If you have not been out to East Sooke Park before, not to worry, you are welcome to follow me there.
I will be offering a location in Victoria where everyone can meet just before 10am to follow me out to the park – the drive is approximately 35-40 minutes from the city. Car pooling will be arranged for those who are willing and interested. I will also have 2-3 spots in my car for sure – if you don’t mind sitting beside Daisy! We will drive out to the Pike Road Entrance of East Sooke Park and explore the Coast Trail from there – I have a few favourite spots where we will take the opportunity to enjoy gorgeous views, peaceful meditation beside the ocean and a grounding asana posture practice with the forest in view.
Once we have hiked to our first look out point, we will take a stretching, water & photo break – the view is amazing! Next we will hike to another gorgeous look out point where we will complete a yoga asana & meditation practice by the ocean (the total length of hike will be approximately 2 hours). We will be accompanied by my lovely labradoodle Daisy – she is quite the yoga dog and loves to join me on all my hikes and loves to be by my side whilst I practice each day – whether on the beach, the trail, the forest, a field or my yoga mat!
Our practice will be followed by lunch time – you are welcome to sign up for my quinoa salad (delicious, nutritious, vegetarian option with homemade dressing & greens from my garden – lunch that you don’t have to pack yourself plus a few yummy snacks – fruit, nuts etc.) or bring your own lunch. Intrigued? Not to worry, although the trail is not perfectly smooth, we will be moving at a gradual pace, in order to fully absorb the amazing surroundings of the ocean and forest.
